This famous cash only seafood restaurant is a favorite. Very reasonable entree prices are always delicious. Wine by the glass prices can't be beat! Great atmosphere. Dine by 1 of 2 wood burning fireplaces. Perfect evening!
the clams here are ALWAYS great. we always order extras. the lobster and 2 dozen clams are the usual order. the lobster is usually good but sometimes you get a bland or chewy one. the other menu items have been a hit or miss for me. being a bit of a drive, I tend to order what I know to be safe and make the trip worth it.
seating capacity is huge. Limited menu selection, but very generous portions. Would have liked to see more staff. We waited an unusually long amount of time for our order to be taken and for the bill. To be fair, it was the weekend. Also, cash only! There is an ATM on the premises for those of us who did not know before going
I've been coming here for years, but its been a while since it was rebuilt after the fire. Its nice to see that the atmosphere hasn't changed much. its definitely much brighter that I remember. The quality of food is still excellent, especially the clams. The staff is also still very friendly and courteous.
Very deceiving restaurant size because you don't see how far back the building goes. The
Fried chicken was awful and my kids chicken fingers were bottom of the barrel quality. The 1 drink minimum is a great way to drive up the bill. Also had to pay them 3 dollars at the ATM because they only take cash. I felt taken when I left. I hope the IRS looks into this cash business.
