If I could give a negative star, I would. It hardens my heart to know how I was just treated. Friday September 1st 2017. At 8:07 am, I received some unsatisfactory customer service. To start, when my husband and I walked in, the front desk representative was on the phone raising her voice to whomever she was engaged in conversation with. I took that as a sign to go ahead and use the restroom, and then book us a room when she was finished with her call. When she paused I asked the location of the restroom. She held her finger up, to indicate I should wait longer. I discovered the restroom sign and went to utilize the facility. My husband did the same. When I left the restroom, I saw a vending machine and wanted to make purchases. I went to the dining area to wait for my husband, so that I could discuss with him what items to buy. By this time I noticed a second person at the front desk, however things took a turn when the first representative approached me and demanded I leave the facility. She said, in such a nasty tone, that the dining area is for her hotel guest. I tried explaining to her that I was trying to make a purchase, but was waiting on on my husband. She very loudly stated "we don't have any items for sale, and you need to leave". With her being so close to my personal space, her aggressive tone, and just overall rude behavior, I felt threatened. No visitor should feel this way in any establishment, especially one that deems itself in the highest regard of hospitality! What shocked me the most was the fact that we have bags in hand, traveled all the way from Indiana, and she didn't even consider the fact that we were ready to book a room. Worst experience with Holiday Inn ever. I know when my business is not needed.
Clean and modern. Very comfortable bed and relatively quiet/safe surroundings. Conveniently, there is a Cracker Barrel restaurant right next door, so you don't have to drive anywhere for dinner.
Brand new rooms, super clean and great staff. Stayed at a "fancy" hotel last night for $300 and this Holiday inn express is by far much nicer and was 1/2 the price. Highly recommend
Had a great stay. I arrived at 6pm and they were serving an evening meal that consisted of chicken, a pasta dish and salad . The hotel staff was pleasant . The room was more than adequate, spacious and clean. Breakfast is as always loaded with choices ,but the cinnamon rolls are the best.
We have stayed in many IHG properties over the years and have found them to be consistent in their quality and comfort. Even within a brand there will always be a few that are just the top of the list. This is one hotel that is one of those top one percent. Recently renovated the building and rooms are like. new. The staff is absolutely top notch and breakfast was good. Thanks TO HIEX Mount Arlington for a most enjoyable experience.
